Syntagma square, Parliament and Presidential Guards We will start at Syntagma square, the main square of Athens and we will learn about the Constitution, the Greek Parliament and Evzones, the impressive presidential guards and their outfit. 2. National Gardens Our second stop is the National Gardens of Athens, the former Royal Gardens, where the King and Queen of Athens used to enjoy their walks. At the same time, we will enjoy the biggest green oasis in downtown Athens and get a break from the busy center. 3. The Panathenaic Stadium and the Zappeion You will get the chance to admire the Zappeion, an elegant neoclassical building, where the athletes used to stay, and now a conference and exhibition center. Get ready to see the Panathenaic stadium, one of the most expensive stadiums in the world, exclusively built of marble. 4. Plaka and Anafiotika neighborhood Time to stroll around Plaka, the oldest neighborhood of Athens. As we ascend towards Anafiotika, a hidden gem perched on the slopes of the Acropolis, you'll feel transported to a picturesque village with its whitewashed houses and cobblestone paths. 5. Monastiraki square and Psiri neighborhood We’ ll finish at Monastiraki and Psiri, where modern Athenian life intertwines with ancient roots. Monastiraki's bustling flea market invites you to explore a treasure trove of antiques, souvenirs, and local crafts.
